Terms & Conditions (AGB)

Last updated: 28 July 2026

1. Scope and Contracting Parties

These Terms & Conditions apply to every order placed in this online shop, run by: SOLISYNTH, Harzer Strasse 6, 12059 Berlin, Germany.
They apply to consumers. A consumer is any person who buys something for personal use, not for their job or business (§ 13 BGB).

2. How a Contract Is Made

The products shown in our shop are not a binding offer from us. They are an invitation for you to place an order.

When you finish checkout and click the order button, you are making a binding offer to buy the items in your cart. We will send you an email straight away to confirm we received your order. This email does not yet mean we’ve accepted it. The contract only becomes final once we send you a shipping confirmation email, or once we actually send the goods, whichever happens first.

You can check and correct your order on the checkout page before you submit it. Please look over your details carefully before confirming.

3. Prices and Payment

As a small business under § 19 of the German VAT Act (Kleinunternehmerregelung), we do not charge VAT. This means our prices do not include VAT, and no VAT is shown on your invoice. Shipping costs are shown separately at checkout.

You can pay by PayPal, credit/debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Trustly (through WooCommerce Payments). Payment is due as soon as the contract is made, unless we’ve agreed something different with you.

4. Delivery and Shipping

We currently ship within the European Union, as well as to Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Norway.

Shipping costs 5.90 € per order within Germany, 14.90 € per order for the rest of the EU, or 20.90 € per order for Switzerland, the United Kingdom, or Norway. Shipping is free for orders over 250 €, regardless of destination country. You’ll see the exact shipping cost at checkout before you submit your order.

Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Norway are outside the EU customs and VAT area. Orders shipped there may be subject to import duties, taxes, or customs fees charged by the destination country on arrival. These charges are set by your local customs authority, are not included in our prices, and are your responsibility to pay.

We’re a one-person business, and we do everything we can to get your order out the door quickly. Most orders are dispatched within 2 to 4 business days of being placed. Occasionally, for example during busy periods, it can take up to a week before we’re able to ship. Once dispatched, delivery via DHL or Hermes typically takes a further [X business days]. These times are estimates given in good faith, not a guaranteed delivery date.

We may split your order into more than one delivery if that makes sense, at no extra shipping cost to you.

5. Ownership Until Paid

The goods stay our property until you’ve paid for them in full.

6. Warranty

Your statutory warranty rights for faulty goods apply in full and are not reduced by these Terms. Right now, that means a minimum 2-year warranty from the day you receive the goods, based on the EU Sale of Goods Directive and §§ 437 ff. BGB.

For DIY kits, this warranty covers defects in the components and materials that already existed when we delivered the kit to you, for example missing, wrong, or faulty parts. It does not cover damage that happens during assembly, such as soldering mistakes, incorrect wiring, or static discharge while building the kit yourself, since that kind of damage doesn’t exist at the point we hand the kit over, and so was never something the warranty covers in the first place.

7. Liability

We’re fully responsible for any damage we cause on purpose or through gross carelessness, for harm to life, body, or health, and under German product liability law.

For damage caused by minor carelessness, we’re only responsible if we break a duty that’s essential to the contract, one you could reasonably expect us to keep. Even then, we’re only responsible for damage that was foreseeable and typical for this kind of contract. We’re not responsible for any other damage caused by minor carelessness.

8. Right of Withdrawal

You have a statutory right of withdrawal, detailed in full in our separate Refund & Return Policy.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms, and every contract made through this shop, are governed by German law. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) does not apply.

This choice of law doesn’t take away any protection you have under the mandatory laws of the country where you live, where those laws can’t be overridden by agreement.

10. Resolving Disputes

See our Legal Notice (Imprint) for our position on participation in consumer arbitration board proceedings and the link to the EU’s Online Dispute Resolution platform.

11. Final Provisions

If any part of these Terms turns out to be invalid, the rest of the Terms still apply.
